Friday night’s game in Atlanta is what makes baseball fun!

Last night’s game had every element I was hoping for. Excitement, drama, great plays, big plays from big players. It would had been a tad bit better if the Braves actually won, but in case anyone says baseball is boring, have them watch the replay of Friday night’s game between the Atlanta Braves and the Washington Nationals. That was fun!

Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals wore a baseball cap reading, MAKE BASEBALL FUN. Last night was not only fun, but a lot of fun. It was a battle for 9 innings in Atlanta with neither team giving up. We were witnessed to one of the best catches from Ben Revere of the Nationals robbing Freddie Freeman of a home run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Not to be outdone, Nick Markakis of the Braves robbed a home run in the top of the 8th inning away from the Nationals. They are 2 of the best catches you will witness this MLB season. Revere’s catch will probably go down as one of the better catches since he was in a dead sprint running towards the wall and make a leaping catch. Even the fans of the Atlanta Braves gave Ben Revere a standing ovation. It was very exciting.

The game lived up to all the hype around it. Julio Teheran pitched a great game allowing 3 runs to the Washington Nationals. The starting pitcher for the Nationals, Tanner Roark, also gave up 3 run to the Braves. This was a pitching duel but the offense of both teams would decide this game. Freddie Freeman had another big night at the plate for the Braves. Despite being robbed of a home run, Freeman still drove in 2 runs for the Braves. Bryce Harper of the Nationals also drove in 2 runs for the Nationals. Ender Inciatre had 3 RBIs for the Braves. However, it was not enough. Clint Robinson of the Nationals had a pair of RBIs including driving in the last run for the Nationals to take a 7-6 lead in the 9th inning.

Anyway you look at it, last night’s game was exciting. You could see  the smiles from both teams last night. Baseball is a fun game. Bryce Harper doesn’t need to make baseball fun, it already is.
