The Braves offense was on fire last night, but  the night belonged to Paul Goldschmidt.

If you were able to stay awake for games on theWest Coast, you were rewarded last night. It was a very exciting game, that can be compared to Sunday night’s game in Atlanta. A very good offense game, with a bit of late inning heroics thrown in. However, this time it was the not the Atlanta Braves who escaped with the win, it was the Arizona Diamondbacks. Paul Goldschmidt went deep in the bottom of the 9th inning to secure the win for his team.

Freddie Freeman is on fire right now with his bat. He had a huge game last night. Freeman went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs. Adonis Garcia also hit a HR last night. He went 1 for 5 with 2 RBIs. The pitching staff pitched good last night as well Mike Foltynewicz went 6 strong innings allowing 4 earned run before the Braves bullpen took over. Again, this was another offensive game for the Braves and the bats, not the arms, would decide this game. John Gant of the Braves allowed the HR to Goldschmidt in the  bottom of the 9th inning and he got the loss. If you enjoy fireworks, last night’s game had plenty of them.

The Braves season record now stands at 45-80. As I mentioned in yesterday’s article, the Braves can only lose 2 more games to finish  with a .500 record. Last night was the first loss, but do not hang your heads Braves fans. Last night’s offensive juggernaut is merely a sample of what is coming in 2017. Freeman’s bat will lead the way. We have other big bats in our line up also. With Matt Kemp, Nick Markakis, and Tyler Flowers also getting RBIs. Dansby Swanso, the new SS for the Braves went 1 for 4 with a base hit. Tonight’s game hopes to be just as exciting! Go Braves!!!
