The New York Yankees get a huge win in Kansas City.

The Yankees proved to me last night that they are still in the play off hunt and a big win in Kansas City proved just that. The American League East just might be the closest and funniest race in baseball. The Yankees are only 6.5 game back of the division leading Toronto Blue Jays. Tomorrow is September 1st. Winning streaks are a great thing. It just takes 1 or 2 bad games from other teams in your division to help a rise to the top.

Some of the big names in New York who wear pinstripes showed why the Yankees are a force to be reckoned without the stripes.  Jacoby Ellsbury was an incredible 4 for 6 with 2 RBIs. Chase Headley was 1 for 4 with an RBI. Aaron Judge was huge last night in KC going 1 for 5 with 2 RBIs from his massive home run. Kansas City Royals fans may disagree but that’s why we love this game.

The Royals also were productive behind the plate. Jarrod Dyson was 3 for 5 with an RBI as he continued his hitting ways. Lorenzo Cain went 1 for 4 also picking up an RBI. On the Royals side of the dugout Kendrus Morales was very popular indeed going 1 for 3 with a 2 run home run. It was a great effort by the Royals last night in Kansas City but the Yankees in the end prevailed.

With all of these exciting games going on in baseball right now, I find it hard to focus on just 1 game. I have the ability to watch up to 4 games at the same time. My tablet and televisions are humming at night. With all of this technology and love for the game, I still only gave 2 eyes. These eyes were shining bright watching the Yankees handing business in Kansas City. Can I please get an encore?
