Let’s go Red Soxs!

If you are a fan of the Boston Red Soxs, you will know this line is repeated at least three times with appaulse thrown in between each repeat. That was the feeling and excitement of last night’s game in Boston. The Red Soxs defeated the New York Yankees 7-5. Not only with a win over the Yankees, but David Ortiz passed Mickey Mantle’s all time mark in home runs.

If that didn’t bring you to your feet with slight jumping up and down, then as a baseball fan what would? Well if you are huge fan of the Yankees probably not. However if you enjoy watching history being made right before your eyes, you know you made a wise choice in watching this historic rivalry instead of a NFL Thursday Night game. Even the Yankees players were in awe of Ortiz’s accomplishment.  This happened in the bottom of the 8th inning. The Yankees were still leading 5-4. Then the bottom of the 9th inning happened.

With 2 men on base and Hanley Ramriez came to bat. Then tension in the air was so thick, you could cut if with a knife. It didn’t take long for the excitement in Boston to erupt!  A 3 run walk off home run by Hanley Ramriez in the bottom of the 9th inning to give the Red Soxs the win. It would be hard to write a better story to the last night’s game. Even as most writers will admit, you can’t make this stuff up.
