The Cubs rally back and force a game 6 in Cleveland.

Just when it seemed the Chicago Cubs were finished for 2016, their team battled back. The Cleveland Indians have had the benefit of their pitching from their starters to the bullpen. Jon Lester took the mound for the Cubs and he showed why he is a strong candidate for the Cy Young award in the National League. Lester did allow an early run to the Indians, then he went into his shutdown mood.

Trevor Bauer of the Indians had pitched a great game for the first three innings, then the Cubs exploded for 3 runs in the 4th inning. Kris Bryant had a huge homerun in the 4th inning that seemed to make Wrigley Field bounced up and down. The excitement in Chicago could be felt all around the world. Doing an experiment, putting my television on mute during the 4th inning, my television seemed to vibrate from the energy in Chicago.

This World Series has been everything that is right with baseball. Great pitching, timely hitting, and clever base running. We as friends are very blessed we get to experience yet another baseball game on Tuesday. November baseball is a rare event, but with teams refusing to lose we as fans get to enjoy our 2016 season for a bit longer. It looks like another pitching duel Tuesday night as Jake Arrieta will go to the mound for the Cubs and will face Josh Tomlin of the Indians.

The television ratings for this World Series has given Major League Baseball the shot in the arm they needed. Watching the fans in Chicago and Cleveland, you can see the excitement, happiness, and at times the sorrows they experience. Baseball is such a fun game to watch and enjoy with your family or alone. Watching the best baseball players in the world playing their hearts out for each game has been very inspiring. Things like elections and problems seem to go on the back burner for 3 to 4 hours each night. That’s why baseball is the best game in the world in my opinion. Watching grown men playing a kid’s game give hope and inspiration to millions of boys and girl around the world. Enjoy Tuesday night’s game. It could be the last game for the 2016 season, or it could be just a preview of November baseball.
