Huascar Ynoa shuts down the Cubs and there was a hit parade going on in Atlanta!

Huascar Ynoa brought his A game to the mound tonight and he had plenty of run support in Atlanta.Ynoa was deadly at the plate too hitting a solo home run! The hits were coming in Atlanta. Freddie Frssman. Marcell Ozuna, and Austin Riley hit home runs tonight also. It is hard to put one single Braves player in the spot light but if I had to pick an MVP for tonight it would be Huascar Ynoa!

Something just clicked tonight. The hits just kept.on.coming and Freddie Freeman showed the baseball world why he is the reigning MVP. Freeman also hit a double tonight scoring his teammate Ronald Acuňa Jr. I decided to write tonight because I got an extra long nap today. What a joy it was to see the Braves offense explode! The Braves pitching staff has really stepped up to the plate and they are a huge reason the Braves have won this series against the Chicago Cubs. The two teams will wrap up the series tomorrow and I invite everyone to watch. GO BRAVES!!!

Ian Anderson shuts down the Cubs 5-0!

Last night’s Ian Anderson had the game in his throwing arm. Sure it wasn’t a perfect game but I think the Braves fan will settle for.this type of pitching performance. Anderson improved his record to 3-0 for the season as he pitched a great game last night. The Braves offense provided run support with key hits by Ozzie Albies and a.huge home run by Ronald Acuňa Jr.

Brian Snitker has been shuffling his line up card this season. He is trying to find the right mix so the Braves can take advantage with their powerful offense. I must admit I was a little concerned when I saw Ozzie Albies in the clean up spot. He put my worry to rest last night as he hit two doubles last.night and he is no ing the runners around the base pads. It was also nice watching Ronald Acuňa Jr hit his massive home run. Yes he did his bat flip and pounded his chest but believe it or not, I am actually enjoying his theatrics. At first I was a bit concerned that he was just showing off but Acuňa is actually enjoying the game and celebrating his talents. Yes pitchers will throw at him, but that is a risky business and believe me you do not want Acuňa charging the mound for a beat down. Tonight the Braves will try to extend their winning streak and have another great game against the Cubs. GO BRAVES!!!

Braves win slugfest in Atlanta over the Cubs!

I have to admit, this is the first Braves game I actually watched in a few days. Luckily I missed the shutdown the Arizona Diamondbacks put on the Braves this past weekend. I’m sure I would be upset but what I am seeing is people go ing up on the Braves already. Come on y’all it’s not even the Summer yet. Please be patient with our Braves and me too. Early in the game the Braves were up 4-0. Well well I thought , this game is going to be a blowout. Boy was I wrong, Charlie Morton gave up a grand slam a bit later and my jaw literally dropped to the floor like in one of those cartoons. I wasn’t ready to give up on the Braves and you shouldn’t either.

I will admit I was looking for a scapegoat I could blame all the Braves troubles on. I found one with Dansby Swanson but I think the baseball gods heard me and they sprinkled Dansby with some fairy dust. Hey fairies and fairy dust can be manly. Swanson hit a home run to put the Braves ahead and he hit a all to.the right side of the infield avoiding the shift the Cubs put on him. Then as I was thinking about what and who to write about, something hit me. I own 2 Braves jersies Freddie Freeman and Dansby Swanson. I must of loved Swanson at some point to spend the little money I have on his jersey. Later on in the game Freddie Freeman hit a towering 3 run homer to put up the Braves for good. Brian Snitker then turned the game over to his bullpen. Even though the bullpen was far from perfect, they got the job done. Tomorrow these two teams will duke it out again. Let’s all hope for another Braves victory! GO BRAVES!!!

Ynoa get win and the Braves beat the Diamondbacks 5-4!

Last night Atlanta welcomed back the Braves and the fireworks were rocking in Atlanta. Huascar Ynoa got his first win of 2021. Ynoa only allowed 2 runs and I am sure his first win was sweet. The Braves provided enough offense to secure the win and all seemed to be right with the world. Maybe not everything but you have to pick and choose your battles as well as your victories. Brian Snitker was all.smiles last night as his team took the first win of the series with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies both homered yesterday and maybe Riley is coming back to his old form of the 2020 season. The Braves have struggled this season scoring runs and their bullpen has not been as shut down as it was in 2020. Manager Brian Snitker is still trying to put together a shutdown bullpen that allows no runs but maybe that is just a fantasy. If it was the easy all teams in baseball would do it. There is no one recipe that teams follow so it is a battle of wits. Let’s all hope the Braves will continue their winning ways today as the battle the Diamondbacks again tonight. GO BRAVES!!!

Ian Anderson shuts down the Yankees in New York!

Last night I was walking on egg shells watching the Atlanta Braves and the New York Yankees. I was a tad nervous the Yankees seem to always play the Braves well. Ian Anderson put my worries to rest. Anderson pinch ed seven strong innings and I will admit, I was nervous to see him go. I didn’t want the Braves bull pen toblow another le as d and ruin the game for Anderson. I do not trust the Braves bull pen just yet to be honest but that is something I will have to get over and deal with.

The Braves scored 4 runs last night and I was very happy go see Austin Riley hit his first home run of the season. In yesterday’s article I almost asked the question who is going to step up for the Braves while our outfield has been hit with the injury bug? Austin Riley answered my unspoken question. Last year Austin Riley was a machine hitting home runs and driving in runs. In 2021 he has a are time getting started but maybe last night was his wake up call. The Braves did well at the plate even though they only got 4 hits. The Yankees pitchers were ha ing a hard time finding the strike zone and with the walks, they scored the first two runs for the Braves. Walks at the plate will kill your team as Braves fans know very well. It was nice seeing the shoe on the other guy’s foot for once. Let’s all hope today’s game will be anotherBraves win as they look to WI a series from the Yankees. GO BRAVES!!!

Charlie Morton pitches a great game but the Braves bull pen gives up the loss.

Lasf night’s game was a pitching duel. Personally I’d rather watch a low scoring pitcher’s duel than a slug fest. The Atlanta Braves had their shot to score more runs but the New York Yankees wouldn’t allow it. Charlie Morton only allowed a home run in last night game but the Braves offense was not clicking. Since the game was an American League field the Braves line up waz able to use a pinch hitter. Last night it was Pablo Sandoval but a big home run never scale and the Braves weren’t able to score many runs. The only scored one run and that wasn’t enough last night.

The Braves are dealing with the injury bug but that is no excuse for not making key hits when needed. If the Braves only want to rely on Freddie Freeman as their one and only run producer, its going to be a long season.I am not sure what manager Brian Snitker is doing with the line up but maybe this all makes sense go him. Personally I miss Ozzie Albies hitting second but that is just me. I can not wait for third baseman Austin Riley to get his bat going and short stop Dansby Swanson can hit the ball but he didn’t last night. Are the Braves afraid of the Yankees? Maybe but its time to stick out their chest and start scoring runs. Come on Braves you can do it. Lets all hope tonight’s game is different. GO BRAVES!!!

The Braves pound the Cubs but Ronald Acuňa Jr might be headed to the Injury List.

Last night’s game was the offensive explosion the Atlanta Braves have been waiting for. The Braves had 4 home runs in the first inning! Freddie Freeman, Travis d”Arnaud, Ehire Adrianza and Guillermo Heredia all enjoyed home runs. Guillerno Heredia would hit a grand slam in the 6th inning in his first multi home run game in the majors. As fun as the hit parade was last night all eyes were on Acuňa. Braves manager Brian Snitker said more would be known today about the extent of Acuňa’s injury.

The Braves are already dealing with the injury bug and it is only April. It looks like it will be the next man up in the Braves’ organization. Ronald Acuňa Jr has not even gone on the injury list but the language of Brian Snitker was not a positive sign. Acuňa is off to a red hot start in the 2021 season. No one wants to see a player get injured but it is almost like a punch in the gut when it is one of the hottest players in all of baseball. The Braves will not play today as they will travel to New York for a series against the Yankees. My fingers are crossed for Acuňa but the Braves will need to rally around their own team and ride the ship. Maybe a few days in New York will do the trick. GO BRAVES!!!

The Braves fall behind early and it all went down hill from there.

Yesterday while I was watching the Braves\Cubs game I was thinking of some positive spins to write about. Yes Ronald Acuňa Jr had another productive game but this article can’t be all about #13. Marcell.Ozuna did have a good day at the plate also and Austin Riley finally got his first RBI of the season. First I will talk about Ozuna. He had 2 RBIs and he showed signs of finally coming around d at the plate. We won’t talk about his fielding as more teams keep running home challenging his arm strength at home plate. That is an issue manager Brian Snitker can address later as the season continues.

Austin Riley got his first run of the season after he had a great year at the plate in 2020. Maybe that is the little spark that will ignite a huge fire. Maybe? The Braves team are struggling at the plate and only Ronald Acuňa Jr and Freddie Freeman seem to be to be productive but there are 9 hitters in the line up not just 2. The Braves play the Cubs tonight in the series finale and then it is off to New York for a series with the Yankees. Maybe the Braves bats will wake up in Gotham city. We will see. GO BRAVES!!!

The Braves battle back and win to avoid the sweep from Miami.

it was a great and entertaining game yesterday in Atlanta! It was a back and forth game with both teams refusing to loose. Ronald Acuňa Jr. hit another homerun and he has to be the hottest player in baseball! Pablo Sandoval came up in the 6th inning and he hit a 2 run homerun coming off the bench. He was a great late add to the Braves clubhouse and he is one of the best guys coming off the bench in baseball. The Braves bullpen needs some help and they are not at their shut down pitching like last year but manager Brian Snitker will figure out the rotation. Dansby Swanson drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning and that was exciting to watch! The Atlanta Braves didn’t want to leave a bad taste in the mouth of it’s fans and they didn’t disappoint!

Let’s be honest the Braves pit thing staff need some help. Their starting pitching is pretty good and their bullpen needs some work. Also the Braves can not rely on Ronald Acuňa Jr. to be there only productive player. The starting line-up needs to come together but before we get ahead of ourselves it is only makeup and the play offs don’t start next week. I guess it is frustrating that the Braves are not in first place in their division but lets not forget the Braves did not take control.of their division until July of last year. The Braves have the talent in the dugout, it just needs to be fine tuned. Brian Snitker is a great baseball man and he and his coaches will figure it all yet. Be patient, myself included. GO BRAVES!!!

The Braves battle back down 5 runs but fall short in extra innings.

Last night’s game was entertaining and Braves outfielder Ronald Acuňa Jr. was the star of the show. Acuňa was a one man wrecking crew. He drove.in 4 of the Braves 5 runs and hit 2 2 run homers and added a double in his one man show. Acuňa is one of the brightest stars in baseball and he put on a show last night. Fellow teammate Freddie Freeman also had an RBI last night as the Braves battled back after being down 5-0.

The Atlanta Braves and the Miami Marlins will play an early game today at 12:20pm to wrap up the series. Braves manager Brian Snitker has been juggling the line ups to try to ignite his Braves team’s line-up. The Braves have already n been bit by the injury bug placing starting pitcher Max Fried on the disabled list after Fried pulled a hamstring running the bases in Tuesday’s night game. Braves center fielder Cristian Pace is also on the injury report. The Braves will play at home one more time today before going on the road to play a couple of series. The Braves line-up seem to be hitting the ball fine but they have not engineered runs. It will be interesting to see how Brian Snitker addresses this minor problem. Let’s rally this afternoon and avoid being swept in our home stadium. GO BRAVES!!!
